Drones

My first DJI Phantom 1 – FPV

I‘ve been flying RC aircraft for over 15 years. When the first “components” were available to build your own Multi-Rotor, we were building Drones as far back as 2010. In the beginning you could buy a flight controller (the brain) for around $40 (KK2 Board). We’d add just 4 speed controls, four motors, a transmitter, 3 cell lipo and we’d be IN THE AIR! No GPS, No Auto level or “apps”, it was just full on manual flight controls… and we crashed A LOT! From there we started adding  LED lights so we could see the damn things at night! Only problem was, other people saw them too! Local newspapers and TV all over Placer County California began running stories about “Mysterious UFO‘s” appearing over local neighborhoods.

Jump forward 6 years and my passion for “flying cameras” has turned into a career! Check out over 300 Instructional drone videos on Youtube at DEMUNSEED, all created with a humorous and slightly edgy twist. Which Drone should you buy?

What is the best drone on the market? Well, that depends on who you ask AND what they want to use it for. But, as of January 2017, here are my top five picks for the BEST drones on the market! (Check back once in awhile. Drone technology is ALWAYS changing with new and BETTER drone platforms”

For right now, my personal favorite drone is the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. It is overall the best for reliability, app functionality and overall portability. It literally does it ALL and more in a relatively small package (I call it’s flight case a “Beer Cooler.” The only DOWNSIDE for DJI is their customer service reputation. Here’s a list of five of my favorite drones as of Jan 2017. But, remember, drone technology is changing so fast, I could change my mind again tomorrow!
